To get Gibtelecom TV, you will need:
- Gibtelecom home broadband.
- A TV with an HDMI socket. You do not need a smart TV for the service to work.
- Optional: A TV aerial for additional terrestrial channels. Please note only TDT antennas will work, you cannot plug in your communal satellite services or coaxial TV cables as they will not work.
No, you can subscribe to this service on a month-by-month basis.
There is a one-year minimum contract term for customers who sign up for Gibtelecom TV as part of a Bundle. Even if you have been a Bundle customer for a while, when you subscribe to Gibtelecom TV on the Bundle a new year term will commence.
No. The set-top box is provided on free hire (in the same way as your Broadband Gateway) and it’s your responsibility to keep it in good condition. You’ll need to return the box at the end of the agreement, otherwise services will be restricted, and you will be charged for the cost of the box.
As standard there are no set-up charges and our Gibtelecom TV box is plug-and-play. However, a one-off charge of £50 will apply should you want us to send an engineer to set up the Gibtelecom TV box for you at home.
Your subscription includes one set top box, to be used with one TV, and one mobile device login.
For each subscription you can add set top boxes, for up to three TVs, for an extra £6 per month per TV. Each TV you have will need its own set top box. You can also add up to three mobile device logins to stream live channels on your phone/tablet for £5 per month per device. The maximum number of devices per subscription is capped at 5 devices (with a maximum of either three set top boxes or three mobile devices).
To get additional devices you will need to subscribe to a second TV subscription.
- Download the Gibtelecom TV mobile app on the App Store (iOS) and the Play Store (Android) free of charge.
- Access a selection of live TV channels (not all are available as this is dependent on licensing restrictions).
- The app will only work on your Gibtelecom home Wi-Fi, Gibtelecom public Wi-Fi networks and the Gibtel 3G/4G/5G Network.
You can catch up on a selection of channels broadcast during the last seven days. If a channel is available for catch-up you will see a play/pause icon next to it on the TV guide. These channels also allow you to pause, fast forward and rewind when viewing.
Channels with catchup availability are: Odisea, Sol Musica, Canal Cocina, Decasa, Canal Panda, Somos, Cars and Stars TV, Discovery HD, Animal Planet HD, TLC, Discovery Science HD, ID, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, Eurosport 1 HD, Eurosport 2, Moto GP/World Super Bike, GBC, Ginx Esports TV, La Liga, Motorvision, Luxe TV, C Music TV, UEFA, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito, TCM English.
