How do I set up a new line?

Signing up for a new line is simple!  Just follow the steps below:

1.    Documentation
Ensure you have proof of address (deds or landlord agreement) and your passport and ID card details to hand. If you want to set up payment by Direct Debit you will also need to know your bank account details.
2.    Deposit & connection fee
If you’ve lived in Gibraltar for less than 5 years you will need to pay a £50 refundable deposit. A £50 connection fee applies to all new lines or when transferring lines to a new location in Gibraltar.
3.    Visit us
Come in to our Customer Service Centre at 15/21 John Mackintosh Square where one of our reps will help you complete your application form (above) and enter your details.


Then just select the service you need to complete your application and we will connect your line as soon as possible.

How do I report a fault?


If you experience any problems with your fixed line call our freephone number 193. You will need to provide the account number of the affected line and details of the fault, if known. Depending on the nature of the fault we will either troubleshoot with you over the phone or send out a skilled engineer to fix the problem on site.

How much are my calls costing me?

If you would like to receive an itemised bill to see what your calls are costing you, you can request to have this appear on your monthly bill at an additional charge or register for our ‘My Account’ online service to view all call details.

How can I make international calls?

To make a direct international call just dial:
 00 + country code + region code + destination number

Gibtelecom also offers a low cast Voice over IP (VoIP) service for international calls. To make a VoIP call simply dial:
 884 + 00 + country code + region code + destination number

What is the Friends and Family service?

With our Friends and Family service, you can save 20% on all calls made to your four favourite Gibtelecom numbers - two mobile numbers and two landline numbers -this is offered to residential accounts only.
