Gibtelecom selects Cerillion Technologies for its new customer care and billing system

Gibtelecom, the main telecommunications provider in Gibraltar, and Cerillion Technologies, a leading provider of next generation customer management systems, today announced that they have signed a contract for the supply of a dynamic computerised management system to handle Gibtelecom’s millions of communications transactions and records. The implementation will support all of Gibtelecom’s fixed line, mobile, broadband and business enterprise services, including delivery of an integrated network inventory solution.

 

Gibtelecom embarked on this major computerisation project that will lead to the replacement of the Company’s current integrated customer management system, in 2011. This system holds all customer records and handles over two million real time communications transactions a week. It is also critical to the business as it manages all customers’ services accounts and monthly billing.  In addition the system holds all the records of the layout of Gibtelecom’s cable network, stretching to thousands of kilometres, and the related infrastructure located around the Rock. The system, which became operational in 1999, is now dated and in need of being replaced.

 

Cerillion is providing a turnkey solution based on its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Billing system, together with other modules from its pre-integrated product suite, as well as performing migration from Gibtelecom’s legacy system. The new solution will enable Gibtelecom to manage its portfolio through a single, unified user interface, allowing rapid rollout of new products and packages across both the general consumer and enterprise customer segments. It will also handle all the Company’s service requests and fault notifications, as well as many other customer care functions.
